THE PROJECT:
Sam Jenkinson Cabinetry is a custom cabinetry brand built on craftsmanship, precision, and pride in the work. This project focused on creating a character-driven brand identity led by a beaver mascot that acts as a brand ambassador—giving the business a memorable, relatable face while reinforcing the quality and care behind every build. Grounded in heritage-inspired design and influenced by the natural landscape of the Kawartha Lakes, the final identity feels established, trustworthy, and built to last.

Creative Exploration
The creative direction draws heavily from traditional trade marks, vintage woodworking references, and the natural surroundings of the Kawartha Lakes. Earthy, grounded colours reflect the forests, water, and materials Sam works with daily, while classic typography and illustrated details nod to heritage craftsmanship. The beaver mascot anchors the system—symbolizing precision, function, and an instinctive dedication to building within and enhancing existing environments, much like Sam’s approach to custom cabinetry.

The logo suite is intentionally led by the beaver mascot, which serves as both a storytelling device and a recognizable brand signature. Paired with strong wordmarks, submarks, and badge-style logos, the system allows the brand to scale seamlessly across wood stamps, apparel, tools, and signage. These design decisions create a cohesive, emotionally resonant identity—one that feels confident, hardworking, and deeply connected to place, mirroring the durability and character of Sam’s work.
